Union Ergonomics, Canada’s fastest growing new franchise with 40 franchises sold in British Columbia, Ohio, and Ontario, and the #1 provider of ergonomic services to Canadian workers is setting up a new company to sell assistive & mobility devices that are paid directly by the Ontario provincial government (electric wheelchairs, stairlifts, etc.).

Assistive Devices Program (ADP) of Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (OMHLTC) covers for many mobility devices such as electric wheelchairs, stairlifts, orthopaedic devices, prosthetic, and many other items for all residents of Ontario who may need these equipments. All Ontario residents; regardless of their financial status are entitled to these items, not only welfare recipients or people on disability or social assistance.

Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) covers 75% of the price of these items. If the patient is a welfare recipient then Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS) covers the other 25%. If patient is a worker or employee who has extended health plan (EHP) , then EHP covers the other 25%.
